How realistic is it

to take a midday break when staying off site?

We're staying right across the street from Sea World, if that helps. We'd like to be able to take a break so that Dd (22 mos) can get a nap and Dh and I can recharge. We don't want to see/ride/do absolutely everything and are more interested in having a fun and relaxing vacation. But we would like to make it to all 4 parks and probably Sea World. I scheduled a morning and another full day off to rest up. Do you think we should keep those off times or have a park day each day with a long break in the after noon?

When is it that you are going? When we went with our daugter who was around that age, we found it difficult to try and return to the parks later in the day, so we just wound up skipping that and staying longer ealier. I think if your coming from off-site you'll find it even more difficult to get packed back up and get back to the park

For a week of our trip we are staying in an offsite timeshare between Sea World and WDW. I'm not planning on returning to the resort for a midday break since I don't know that we'd ever get back to the parks. I'd rather leave before the parks close if we can't last all day. It will be me, my son who is almost 5yo, my sister, and our mother. It's my mother that probably wouldn't get back out the door to return to the parks.

When we went to WDW, DS was 23 mos. While it was ideal for us to go back to the hotel for a rest, we found that he also did okay just falling asleep in the stroller at the parks.

When we did go back to the hotel, we did return to the parks after an early dinner. We stayed on-site though, which I think makes it much easier to do so.

We're leaving Tuesday. The only problem is that we've schedules some later activites (HDDR, FDP) and my inlaws would really like to see Wishes and Illuminations. Maybe we should get to the parks later in the day?
