How quickly do lines build up for TT and Soarin in October?

We will be at WDW last week of October and we will be visiting Epcot for 2 days. We have ADR for breakfast on both of those days and the times are really pushing us being there on time for rope drop. So my question is, how quickly do the lines build up for TT and Soarin. What are the wait times at 10? How quickly do they reach 30 mins? (that is our rule is we will not wait in line for anything over 30-40 minutes)

The lines are going to reach the 45-60 mark very quickly. Defintely before 10am. You can usually do one standby first thing at park opening but need to FP the other one if you don't want a long wait.

When we went in Oct of 2012, we were at the park at rope drop, but by the time we made it to Soarin', the line had reached 20 minutes and this was shortly after 9 on a recommended day. IF I was going to be exact, it was Oct 22 2012.

We came back a little later with fastpasses and the wait was at least 45 minutes, probably closer to an hour.

Now TT wasn't open at the time, so that could be part of the reason for long lines too.

And the difference between then and now is there are FP+ reservations starting at park opening, so standby lines are slowed by them from the start.

That will probably be our plan is to ride the one we don't have FP+ for first, then go to the other one we have FP+. that's why I am so worried is because I don't like the tiers they are doing with FP+. But I understand it is to keep them from running out.

We strive to get to Soarin' at rope drop, we usually either walk right on or get the 2nd 'flight'. As we exit, the standby line is always 60 mins. or better. Don't know about TT.

If you have ADRs those days then FP Soarin' one day and TT the next day, you really do not want to be racing over for RD on a full stomach, it's not worth it, FP all the way.

By 10am the wait for each of them will almost certainly exceed 30 minutes.
