Hi all,

I am due to do the jet ski excursion at 11 then hope to go over to SB. Do you think it will be full up by then.

Would it be frowned upon to shoot over there first and throw some stuff on some chairs.

Thanks.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain of being completely unable to get loungers on either beach.

SB really doesn't fill up. Finding chairs is more of an issue at the family beach, and even then, you can usually find chairs, just maybe not in a preferred location.

We did the 5K, returned to the ship to cleanup and get our beach stuff, and got to Serenity Bay about 11:30, and there were lots of chairs and umbrellas available. True, we were maybe 75 yards from food, bar and restrooms, but took only a minute or so to walk there, and waiters came around to take drink orders.

I would frown on saving chairs if you are leaving for an excursion. Just not fair.

This. Just as you shouldn't save chairs ON the ship and then run off for a few hours to do whatever, you should not save chairs on SB and then run off to do an excursion.

Even in the summer on a full Dream we had no problem getting chairs.

I was pretty surprised when we were there on the Dream last summer that SB was practically deserted. There were a couple people in the water, a few grabbing some drinks and a couple on the chairs, but that was it. It was really....serene!

We've never had a problem getting chairs on any beach.

Au contraire..... Last September/October we did 2 Wonder double dips B2B. There were so many adults and so few children that Serenity Bay did fill up. On 2 days for sure I can tell you from experience that there was not 1 chair available at Serenity Bay at all. NOT even ONE. The lunch spot out at SB had a line that stretched all the way back to near the restrooms and we heard reports from others that most of the food actually ran out. It was insane.

Never say never. I've seen it happen with my own eyes. Very rare, indeed. But it DOES happen.

Also, there were so many gold/platinums sailing that they had to do several receptions on each sailing.

Even so, saving chairs is uncouth. And should there be only one unoccupied by humans but rather by towels and bags set that sat empty for more than an hour with nary a human going near them, you can bet I would be finding a CM to remove said bags and towels.

Agreed. I'm not one to be down with chair saving for hours on end.
