How possible is this?

My fiance and I are in the process of purchasing a house. We also like to save money whenever possible. We also intend on entertaining lots of friends when we get our house ( my fiance has 7 full size arcade machines, etc. ). How possible would it be to install a soda fountain machine in our house? Not a huge one, but it would be great to have 4 or 5 sodas "on tap". I understand that we'd have to get the boxes of syrups and something to get the fizz in the soda, but would we have to rent a machine? could we buy it? where would we get the syrups from? Any thoughts would be helpful! TIA!:thumbsup2

Contact a local pepsi or coke supplier and they can hook you up! You may need to buy the dispenser from a restaurant supply company but they are everywhere!! Be warned, they take up more room than you think and need to be cleaned fairly often!

Our neighbors have a finished basement with 2 beers & 2 sodas on tap at all times. I know they got a lot of their things at a high end game & pool store, but not positive that's where the taps came from. They have an entire room behind the bar area devoted to the taps & equipment - it looked like a lot of work! But way cool! They have stainless taps coming right out of natural stone that is on one wall, with a water feature. I've never seen anything like it in a residential home. But it goes to show that money can buy anything. Good luck!

It's very possible but the tanks take up a lot of room. The size of a small machine is also quite large. You could check on Craigslist for a used machine...

wonder if that would work for soda? As it doesn't have seperate tanks. Or check and see what your local American Legion uses in their back room, they are not used daily so might have something that works better than the other systems?

Try Globe Restaurant Supply in Bridgeport (I saw you're in Milford) or there are several restaurant supply stores near you in West Haven/New Haven. I bet they can hook you up! We buy smaller items at Globe all the time, but they have some serious equpiment in there (pizza ovens, hot dog carts, ice cream machines, commercial grade stoves, fridges, etc.).

Globe's number is 203-367-6611 and they are right off exit 25 on I-95.

There are also the underbar models with the hoses that are commonly used by bars. I think those are often a bit cheaper, and can be installed under the sink cabinets in a bar area, if you have one.

Try this company: www.sodadispenserdepot.com. It looks like they are able to sell retail to homeowners. I think you would probably need a plumber to install most of these gadgets.

Myself I want more than a soda machine I want a pipe line ran from coca cola to my house for my diet coke figure they could make me a thing like a water heater only it would be ice cold diet coke.... well I can keep hoping to get it some day

The CO2 tanks are normally installed in a separate location due to safety. If the regulator leaks, it can suffocate everyone similar to a carbon monoxide leak.

Call your local distributor, and they can arrange for a salesman to visit your home to discuss.
