How our Party of 3 became our Party of 11/Updated w/pics 7/29

So in a previous post I mentioned that my travel companions now want to "help" with the planning. Our first "meeting" is to take place this Thursday night. I'm a little torn on what to do. Brian thinks I should bring all of the information that I have gathered and place it in the middle of the table for them to look through and that I should sit back and watch!

What's your take? I've spent months working on this trip in hopes that it would be a great trip for all of us. I know that in an instance my good Disney mood will be ruined. I MUST get out of this funk...

I say show them what you have and just let them decide what they want, but also dont base your vacation on their decisions. Nothing says you have to spend all of your time together. Go and read the trip report "Why I didnt speak to my sister for a week" And you will see how other people may definitely have other plans and ruin yours!! You are going to have a great trip!! And dont let anyone ruin that!!

Here are a few of the t-shirts that I have made for our trip and for Mason's Cars Birthday party that we're having in a few weeks.

I can't wait for him to wear all of these shirts! I will be making "extras" for back-up and clothing changes.

I can't thank the DISigners of the Creative Board enough for their time and talent! Warning...it's very addicting! I still need to make our shirts for MNSSHP, we have to finalize

Well our "planning meeting" for Thursday night has been postponed because, it's been decided that I did an okay job with planning. I've been receiving a few email ADR requests today, but overall it's back to just me doing the planning. It works, because I like to be in control Did I ever tell you that I like to be in control?

Arrive at MCO at 11:24 a.m.
Pick Up Rental Car @ Thrifty
Drive to Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista
Relax poolside with ENTIRE family
Dinner at DTD with ENTIRE family*hoping to go to Raglan Road for dinner!
Go to bed early...would like to check in as soon as possible!

Sunday, October 12, 2008**Magic Kingdom Day #1**
My dad says he can't wait to see his grandson's face the first time he walks down Main Street. Personally I can't either.
Because I wasn't planning on going to Magic Kingdom (or any park for that matter on this day) we will use this time to get accquainted and take everything in. This will be our Mason day...a day that he can ride any ride, do anything, or whatever he may want to do with ALL of his grandparents surrounding him.

The only "requirement" of the day is to catch the Dreams Come True Parade at 3pm.

Sorry I can't write much today, things are crazy in our house this week!

Just a quick update.....

I bought our tickets last night for fear of the dreaded price increase!!!

Yeah! 2-adults, 1-child 6-day park hopper for $740.85!!

Why six day park hoppers????

I know that you have been patiently waiting and tonight's the night I'm going to update our itinerary!

I made our shirts from DISigns off the Creative Board. There are so many talented DISigners over there. Just ask and someone can make something for you. They have photobuckets that you can look in. I just ordered iron transfers from HP, printed them out, bought my shirts and ironed away!

As you can see we are really taking the DDP seriously! Brian wants to make sure we get our money's worth...I don't think we'll have a problem with that, do you?

We recently found out that my dad might not be able to stay for the entire trip, which is a real bummer. I really wanted him to be there the whole time, but like Brian said, they were only going to be with us for 2 days in the parks. He just got a contract for a big job, which is a good thing , but he will be in the middle of the job during our trip. He is thinking that he can fly down on Friday, spend the weekend and fly home on Monday morning. He's not too happy about it, but in this economy you work when there's work!

When I began researching ticket prices I made sure that I found the best deal possible. We ordered our tickets from Undercover Tourist and got a great deal....we only need 5 days, but a 6th day! Now we get to spend another day with the mouse! The three of us will drive back to MK on Friday, October 17 and end our vacation right where it all started (if we're up to it). I have a feeling that I will be up to it but don't know about the rest of my family. We return home on Saturday, our flight leaves MCO around 1:00 p.m., so the morning will be spent sleeping in and packing.

LIME has decided not to grace us with his presence after all, which may or may not be good thing. All of my ADR's that include the ENTIRE family are for 11, but will it really matter is 1 person is missing?

Plans for my mom and Dan's wedding are well under way, they are getting married over Labor Day weekend. We went shopping last night for her dress and our dresses. It's been along time since all 4 of us went shopping together. I found a cute dress that was orignally $100, on sale for $59.99, bring it the register and it's only $18!!!! **more money for Disney**

I only have two months left until we fly out! I'm really excited, I've been going over all my lists in my head and trying to figure out what is the best way to keep track of everything. I really need a list of all my lists!

This past Thursday I made a reservation for Kids' Night Out for Lucas and Mason. At first Kid's Night Out wasn't going to accept responsibity for Lucas (16) even though I called two months ago and they said that was fine. I had to explain again that Lucas has Downs Syndrome and then they said that special needs kids where the execption to the rule. So it's all set, we will have an "adult" night out at Jelly Rolls on Wednesday night! I guess I should change my itinerary.

Mason's birthday party is quickly approaching. We also have his school home visit on Thursday night, which he is so excited about! He starts school the day before his birthday, I still can't believe that my little baby is in school!

It's been quite some time since I last wrote about our upcoming trip, which by the way is in 26 days!

When I last left you we were trying to decide how to get to the airport. Normally my dad and stepmom would drive us the airport, but the problem is this time they are going with us! I am taking them to the airport on Friday and then my wonderful boss is picking Brian, Mason, and me up at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday and taking us to the airport! Isn't that sweet of her? I'm thinking what in the world is THIS going to cost me??? I go with the flow, no need to fret over a free ride, right?

So, it's settled we are being transported to and from the airport by my boss. How many bosses would do that for their employees? Did I mention that she is my aunt?

Over the last few weeks I have tweaked our ADR's a little and added some new plans to the mix. I've also rented a car from Thrifty Car Rentals.
