Have you considered running some quests or games? idk, but it seems to me that playing pirates might be easier if you are not drowning with your stuff on!

I am organized just like you... LoL Different rooms for different things. They really need to give us something to keep all our "belongings" in. The locker sounds good. I would have to say some furniture that we can actually put things into. But being organized is great, when you need something you know exactly where it is! No searching for it.

My rooms list looks EXACTLY like yours! (And a word of advice: Expedition Everest rooms are the new Skull Rock! I get about 5 of them a day and just add them to the bottom of my rooms list!)

I don't have as many pins as you, because I took a long time to understand why anybody WANTED pins, and I do tend to store extra pins, hats and clothes on mules. I just make sure I play the mules regularly.

Your problems though are an excellent way of pointing out the need for several things I have been asking VMK to do for ages. (Were you all able to follow that terrible sentence?)

Looks normal to me. My rooms look the same as yours.
I also don't have as many pins or costumes as VMK_MagicalLadee and I store my pins and costumes on about 5 different mules that I play a couple of times every week. I'm obsessive about playing them all so I don't lose them.

I generally buy 10 each of the pins and at least 10 costumes - more if I have more credits. I have a word file on the computer with cross-reference from item to room, and room to item. I would love to keep it all on one character but that makes that character run very slowly. My suggestion for pins is simple. We should be able to take them off and store them in our rooms, when you remove them from the inventory they turn into small posters so we can put them on the walls (so other people can see them and trade for them) but when you pick them up they become pins again.

Great job on the video, thanks for letting us know we are not alone in our obsession of being organized. I’m actively working on making my real house organized too. That is a lot slower to do.

I do not care about being organized in VMK. I have so much useless junk- Everest chairs, ice cubes, waterslide start pieces (I don't know how I have them), blue Lagoon crates... stuff nobody will ever use.

YES infact my first account on vmk was a boy to dress up all of my character like freddie john roger and brian i had a lot of fun trying to do brians hair but i used my girl character to make brian and i just got the cd "Made in heaven" and i personally have to say that the hidden track that is 22 MINUTES LONG is pretty spooky

Egad Magic! It amazes me how you manage to buy so much stuff! Truly impressive.

btw, I thought I was pin crazy! But, wow do you have me beat! I had massive trade problmes, could not complete them, lagged 3-4 minutes, and so on. I had all furniture and poster items out of my "pockets" so I could not understand why I had so much lag. Then a friend mentioned my pins. I had not even thought about them! I moved all but 2 of each pin to another character and my trade issues were DRASTICALLY better.

Just a suggestion. By the way, took 3 hours to move the pins.

clickey thingys that give you stuff (like the water tank and the penny presser and stuff like that)

But you sound like it is a pain in the neck. If so why don't you GIVE some of this stuff to friends or maybe some newbees?? Think of how they would feel!! When things go on sale I often buy more than what I need but in a month or so I've already given most of it away.

I have over sixty room, about 40 of which have stuff in them. I give stuff away all the time. However, I am not organized. My rooms are titled and all that, but we have four characters in our house, and I have not itemized who had what. Matter of fact, I thought I had a boat load of the Haunted Mickey Ears host pin from October 2006, so I agreed to trade four of them earlier this week. I only had four on me, and Sclim's character had one. Found three more on PrincessMajelBug's character and have no idea or recollection of moving them there. I need to itemize who has what.

I only carry pirate wells on me to hand out, and extras of the pins. Other than that, all my stuff is in a room somewhere. Problem is that I do stupid things like put stuff in my afk room. Or have a catch-all room called "Holding Theatre" that has all kinds of stuff in it. I've got several football rooms full of teleporters, and we won't discuss the five rooms of pirate wells...

I'm at work which has blocked YouTube so I can't watch your video right now (will at home later). But based on the responses it sounds like I've got a similar setup - I "first word" my rooms with "Stock - ". I totally love Simba's idea to make them ticketed rooms so they highlight in yellow. What a great idea, thanks Simba!! In fact I like that "Backstage" word too... Hmm...

I've also got a boy & girl mule for storage purposes. It came in real handy when I was trading for Inferno. I was constantly uptrading to improve my Inferno offer, but didn't want to trade away items that were already in the offer so I started storing one of each pin and costume on the boy so I wouldn't accidentally trade them away. After I got Inferno I found it useful to keep using the mule to store things. Like Lady Bear I use a Excel sheet to keep track of what's in which Stock room and on which mule. I also keep separate stock of what I have "For Trade" vs what I have "To Invest" and "For Me". Some items I won't trade for a while, "investing" in them and giving time for them to be worth more (sometimes backfires when items are re-released, but sometimes works). Other items I want to keep for my own future use in a room or whatever and not trade away.

Truth be told I'm a little behind on updating some of my spreadsheet, as I've been busy. I also have a lot of stuff I need to put in more stock rooms. Maybe now is a good time...

The_VMK_Teddybaer I do remember what it was like to be new even though I've been playing about 13 months. I quite often gift things to friends and strangers alike.

Maybe I'm too new to vmk to understand this, but why can't you trade

I am totally blown away at the amount of stuff you have! Someone
asked me the other day on vmk if I was rich, I was confused by her
question thinking she was talking about how many credits I had.
(almost enough to buy a quest machine)

Now I see The bigger picture .... I guess I'm poor

Wow! You've done a great job organizing all the stuff. I also organize my furniture in skull rooms, mine are called "stuff" rooms. When I first started VMK I would use "Store" but all too often I would have people popping in unexpectantly looking to trade.

You definately need a few mules to hold all those pins and costumes. I ussually leave extra pins or costumes on the character (mule) that bought/won it. Although, I have found that when designing rooms it is a pain if you store extra furniture on mules....just too much trading.
