We met when I was 18 and he was 20. We dated, but I didn't want to get serious. We ran into each other over the years here and there, but one of us was always involved with someone else. We ran into each other again at ages 24 and 26, realized we were both unattached, and started dating seriously. We were married 6 mos. later and have now been married 7 years.

We met when I was 17 and he was 23. Married at 18/24 and will be celebrating 30 years in Oct. My oldest dd met her dh when she was a teenager (can't remember what age) got married at 21 and have been married for almost 7 years. My other dd also met her dh when she was 17 and got married at 20 and has been married for almost 7 years as well. My brothers and sisters all met their dh early, got married early and are celebrating many years. It's a family tradition I think except for some of the newer generation.

Well I first saw my boyfriend when I was 17 and he was 16 and we had the same psychology class. We didn't talk to each other until about a year later and got together when we were both 18 (I was turning 19 in a couple weeks).

This thread is so interesting to me ... I'll be 24 next month, I've been dating the same guy seriously for four years, and though I do think he is probably the one, I don't see marriage anywhere on the horizon! Of the thirty-six girls in my high school class, only one is now married, and of the 504 girls in my college class, only 25 are now married (yes, they keep statistics on this stuff on the class website)! I didn't realize we were so far behind the curve, so to speak!

Meet him at 26 - he was 28. Married at 28 and 30, we have been married for 8 years. thought that mid 20's we as normal but I guess I was a bit behind. In my family, DSis1 was 30, DB was 28 and Dsis2 is single with serious boyfriend so maybe 38 will be her year. I have 2 dear cousins 33 and 31 who are single guys. On the other side all of my cousins got married in mid or late 20's.

I was 24 and DH 25 when we met by accident (or fate?). He was calling my roommate (who wasn't home) and we started talking. We went out the next night and married 18 mos. later. We will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this September.
