Um well since I am not CATHOLIC, it's different. Christian views are different that Catholic views. As my husband (and his whole family) would say, Catholics are Christians gone bad.

I am also not putting my views on anyone. I am stating how I FEEL. Not how everyone else should feel.

You can feel any way you want to, it's your right. But there are other ways to express your opinion besides insulting large populations of the board. A debate is not worth having if it turns into name-calling.

I was 21 and DH was 22. We had just graduated from college less than 2 weeks before the wedding.

We dated for almost 4 years. We met as college freshmen in the first month. We were "officially" engaged for about 10 months but we knew we wanted to get married for probably close to 2 years before that.

Well, if Joe and I were allowed to get married, we'd have done so at 24. I voted anyway.

We've been together for 15 years and are looking at many, many, many more years together.

To answer the OP, DH and I dated 10mos before we were engaged (lived together 8 of those months), eloped a month later on my 23rd birthday, and had a church wedding 10mos after that.
