I totally disagree with you here. I am currently in college, as would be expected for my age. I'm a few semesters behind because I took a year out right out of high school- a divorce, both parent relocating, and now DH deploying to the Persian Gulf will do that to you.
I went to a top notch boarding school- needless to say, we are all in college. A LARGE percentage of the girls have diamonds on the finger, have purchased a wedding gown, or are tending that way quickly.
You can't lump people into a broad and over-reaching statement like that. Before I transferred to where I am now, nearly all the girls were married becuase it was a military town. Why? You're nothing in the eyes of the Department of Defense until that piece of paper says you're a wife. I found that group of young women, mothers, and wives to be far more mature than the girls I am presently in school with. There's a huge percentage of college students that are married- we just choose to live at home with our spouses and not participate in frat parties. Just becuase you don't see us doesn't mean we're not there. I think you'd be surprised how many of us there are.
