I was 20. I even remember the first time we met, and where it was, not the date though.

why didn't you list teens as a possibility?

i met my husband when we were 19...on our first date a month later he told me he was going to marry me....which we did, 4 years later....

my son, who'll be marrying this coming May, met his girlfriend when they were 15....

we were teenagers..... met freshman year of HS began dating at 15...
(now we are 46:goodvibes )

I was wondering the same thing.

I met my DH when I was 14 (freshman in high school). We liked each other, but went to different schools and dated other people in high school. We started dating after I graduated and got married after college.

My parents met when they were 16.

I was 17, DH was 18. I was a senior in HS and he had graduated the year before. We didn't go to the same school, but worked together at a local store. (Does anyone from the Chicago area remember McDade~~~~The Catalog House!:rotfl: )

We married when I was 21 and he was 22. That was almost 23 years ago! :woohoo:

met him when I was 15, he was my golf coach at my golf club, he was 22! Started dating him a year later when I was 16 1/2 and he was 23 ..... and they said it wouldnt last - 18 years and counting:goodvibes

I was 18, he was 21... just days after I graduated HS in 1984. (He went to the same HS, but we never met during our overlapping year.)

I think I was 19... I was a student in the theatre department and he worked in the scene shop. I was dating someone else at the time, but he was part of my extended circle of friends so we stayed in touch. We only started dating 6 months ago, when I was about to turn 24. Apparently he'd had a thing for me for years, but it took me a while to be in a place where I was looking for a relationship again, and saw him in that light.
ETA- if I was 19, that would have made him 24 at the time.

I was 35 when I met my DH - he was 36.

It is his second marriage and my first. :bride:

I was 12, she was 11. :faint: At school, I used to watch her playing four-square with her friends at lunch & I thought she was cute. We dated for 8 years & have been married for 27.5.

I think that is one of the sweetest things I have ever read here. :lovestruc

I met my ex when I was 17 and he was 22. Didn't date him until I was 20. I met my husband when I was 28 (he turned 30 a couple of weeks after our first date) and married him two months before my 30th birthday.

I was 18 and DH was 20 (by 3 days). That was 18 years ago...:lovestruc. And like another poster said...about a month and half later he said, "You know I'm going to marry you!" Which we did 4.5 years later...after college!

I was 26. I was in serious relationship, though. The same year I met him, I realized I was disappointed he didn't make it to my birthday party, then I realized what a total jerk my then boyfriend was to me all time (like I was wearing blinders and they suddenly came off!).

I quickly broke it off and started dating my now-husband. We've been married for 8 years now.

I was actually 26...he was well worth the wait though. We're getting married Oct. 17, 2009! :bride:

I first MET my spouse when I was 14.

The first time I really paid any attention to my spouse, I was 17. We started dating around my 18th birthday.

I'm 36 now. He's 39. :)

I met my husband when I was 15 and he was 18. That was 11 years ago.

I am kind of surprised with how many people have met their spouse/partner at such a young age. A lot of the time I feel like my husband and I are in the minority but here it seems like just the opposite. Kind of interesting and neat. :thumbsup2
