How Old Is Too Old?

DW was 16 and I was 21 when we started dating, 19 and almost 24 when we were married. I am just a few months shy of 5 full years older. No biggie. When I am 83 and she is 79 who is going to care? So a few people maybe "talked" when we were dating/engaged/married... that's their problem.

That's not a big difference... I was 20 and DH was 28 when we started dating. We married at 23 and 31 and have been married for 7 years.

I don't think the age gap is too much. I agree with the previous poster who mentioned something about being in different places in life might be the cause of the differences you see.

I was 19 and hubby was 26 when we, married...now I'm 25 and he's 32. 6 years and 2 kids later....the age doesn't matter. :)

I don't think your age difference is that big of a deal. I say give him a chance, you sound like you're nervous but you never know what will happen. Take it slow and steady and let him know that that is what you need. Worst case scenario you've made a great new friend :thumbsup2
