I have one son 12 with special needs that would absolutely love this, and 2 older kids, teens that would probably get a kick out of it too and watching him. I am concerned that the other families may have very young children and my older kids might be out of place.

Any opinions? Thanks!:D

We love the Family Magic Tour! My 2 dds (3 and 6) also enjoy being around older kids. They would think it is "cool" that older kids would be on the tour! I say go and have a great time.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. Didn't want the younger ones to be upset.:D

Tell me more about this. We just got back tonight, and while we were there, we saw Peter Pan and Wendy getting on It's a Small World with a family with young kids, then walking out with them. My kids were so jealous. I assumed it was perhaps this tour.

We love this tour! We have done it twice and will be doing it again on our New Year's trip. It is a cross between a scavanger hunt and Simon Says. Each tour has a quest (on our tour all the bad characters had turned the happy endings to sad ones) We followed "clues" and did what the clues told us to do (barking through town square, hopping through Tomorrow land, etc...) At the end of the tour we wait in a private "groto" and a character, sometimes two come out to meet you. It is wonderful! It is very intimate contact with the character (we had Peter Pan on both our tours... he even seemed to remember my dds!?) After a little ceremony and autograph/picture time the character and kids head off to ride a ride, we rode It's A Small World on both our tours. I can not say enough special my children felt (me too!) You do have to be willing to do silly things, but WDW brings out the child in all of us. It is the best money spent at WDW ( $ 25 per person no matter what age) I think we got a small discount because of our annual passes. We always do character dinners and we were even going to do the Magical Gathering but for our money the Family Magic Tour is the way to go. I think the tour has a max of 20 people, where as the Magical Gatherings can have triple that amount of people. My girls can't wait to do it again!

Glad to hear how much you enjoy the Family Magic Tour. It really is one of the most magical secrets of Walt Disney World.

Do you remember who your tour guide was?

We had two different guides and I am sorry to say that I can't remember their names. They were both wonderful. Each guide had their own way of making the tour special. One of our guides was probably college age and the other guide was a self professed "grandma" ( she told us about her grandchildren). One thing I didn't mention before was the fact that the tour is constantly changing, the children were never bored. They were really excited to see which clue came next.
