How old for TSMM and Buzz?

I didn't take my two older girls to Disney until the youngest was almost 3. But, the baby already attended the Halloween party and will be going again next year (hopefully buying APs again). How old was your kid when they were ready to have their own seat/controller on TSMM and Buzz?

About 1 to sit alone but with an arm around on TSMM. About 2 before he would hold the gun.

About this. Our youngest was 11 months for her first trip and ride on TSMM and Buzz. Her second trip was at 19 months and she liked the ride and liked to play with the gun but couldn't shoot on her own. 3rd trip she was almost 3 and did it herself.

At age 2 both of my girls LOVED these rides. They would sit at that age and use their own controllers. I don't remember that they were actually able to do much with them but I remember them moving them all around and getting really excited because they thought they were doing something!

So, it's likely that sometime during our AP year, she'll be ready to hold her own shooter.
