How often is a Disney Collection resort available?

Was wondering how often you can find Disney Collection resort availability in Disneyland. If I were to book now for early August (thinking GC), would their be anything?

I don't think you'll have a problem. The earlier you book it the better chance you'll have of getting a less expensive (point wise) room. I waited until about 2 weeks before and had to use points for a "premium" room as there were no standard rooms available using DVC points.

Just call member services, as they will need to do the reservation for you. I do not think you can book it via the DVC website. It is a hotel, so availability is usually pretty good, unless it is a very popular time (runDisney, holiday, etc).

While you likely know this, only direct points may be used to reserve Disney Collection rooms, unfortunately resale points after March 2011 (or was it 2012? so long ago...) may not be used.
