How often does the price of stamps increase?

I wanted to ask if I bought postage now, is it possible that the price of stamps won't go up again till my wedding?

I can't remember if stamps go up ever year or every two?

What do you think?

Get the Forever stamps at todays rate and that way if they do go up, you are covered. It will not be the cute hearts or anything, but would still work.

I was going to suggest the Forever Stamps as well, but if you want the cute heart ones or Disney ones, I'd suggest you wait. I heard a rumor that they're going to go up again before 2009 - but it's just a rumor.

That was the problem, I'm a sucker and want the Disney Stamps from Zazzle.

I want to buy all my postage now where I could get a cheaper rate by buying more sheets by buying it all at once

But I think postage may go up though

Postage generally goes up once a year in May. I believe it is scheduled to go up May of next year. You also have to consider how heavy your invitations are. We ended up having to use one $1.00 stamp plus one Disney stamp. I had put a piece of velcro on our Cards and Pockets invitation and this made it bulkier so the price went up. This actually worked out well for us because the $1.00 stamp we used was of a statue in Rockefeller Center and this is where we got engaged and then the Disney stamp because this is where we are getting married.

I am also making custom stamps on Zazzle and was wondering the same question. From what I can see it appears that stamp rates are changed every May at least for the past couple years they have been raised in May. I went on the USPS website and didn't see anything about another rate increase but when they discussed past increases they all occurred in May.
