How often do you use valet parking?

I admit, I have never used it in all the times we've driven around. I don't mind walking I guess

Since OKW doesn't offer valet services, we only use it when we go to other resorts to dine. But I guess we also never use it as a DVC perk, as we have DDE and a handicap placard, so we can get free valet at all resorts, not just DVC.

Same here. But I also agree with Granny on it being a very worthwhile perk

I voted always but that isn't quite true, we usually self park but if its raining or we have a lot of purchases we will use valet.

Squeezing in plenty of walking opportunities has never been a problem for us on our trips to WDW.

handicap placard will get me free valet parking. Oh boy - been cruel to mother - made her walk or pushed her in a wheelchair to all these resorts.

Always rent a car, and always use valet. In and out of resort about three times a day.

We had never used valet parking until our trip in Aug 07 at BWV. We were on a short trip and didn't do many park activities and actually never once got on a WDW bus! We drove to TL and to AK and walked to Epcot. We loved it!

On our trip in Oct 07 at VWL we used it to park the truck at the beginning of the trip and I think DH used it after each time he played golf - not sure about that.

I didn't answer the poll because none of the answers fit my trips or use of the valet parking.

I posted never, but we have used in once in a while, especially when we stay at VWL. But even then, it might only be once or twice during the entire time. Like when we arrive and when we leave. At BCV it's way too easy to self park. We don't go to the BWV. OKW and SSR doesn't have valet.

We use valet parking nearly every time. We'll self park if we're pool hopping and want to stash our stuff back in the car before dinner. One tip: When you use the valet for the first time, get the valet desk's direct phone number and program it into your celphone. Then you can call ahead even if you aren't in your hotel room (and you don't have to go through the switchboard). This is especially useful at the Boardwalk, where you can sometimes stand around a while waiting for your car if you don't call ahead.

If we rent a car we use it. I tried to use it one time for my ECV but they wouldn't go for it.

Another one who has a DH who refuses to use valet! We never use it, even when going for dining.

However, I've always been perfectly fit, healthy and happy to use the self-parking and if it rains, my DH is the only one who gets wet

Yes you tip. Some only tip when they have their car returned to them. We tip going out and coming in. They keep your keys, you drive up to the main area, they come out, take your name, give you a receipt and take your car and park it. Benefit: when it is very hot or pouring rain, its nice to have someone else do the leg work.

Drawbacks, someone has your car and is driving it, cost plus tips.
