Oh no, I soap up with Ivory Bar Soap everyday too, that's probably why my skin is so dry too. I recently tried switching to Aveno liquid and it doesn't make me feel as clean as Ivory.

I could never use Ivory Soap- that is so rough on the skin and it dries it out so much!

When DH was in college he had a summer job at a machine shop and got filthy dirty and he said Ivory was the only thing that got him clean. I got to thinking how bad it must be if its the only thing that will get off machine shop dirt!
