We go 3+ times a year. Since both of our children have moved to the Orlando area, both me and my husband take three planned trips a year. We go for 10 days in May, 10 days in October and 2+ weeks in December (we are there for Christmas and come home a day or two after to miss the crowds. I also go for my birthday in August and stay 5 days. We both have APs but have not used them to the fullest the last year or two. We will renew when we are down there in December but will probably not renew after that. We don't go to the parks like we did when our children lived at home. We belong to DVC so we always have a place to stay with our points. We love everything Disney. We experienced the FP+ in October but were not interested in activating the bands because of not going to the parks. I did attempt to wear mine one day but didn't like how it felt on my wrist...I don't wear a watch, bracelet, etc. so I didn't like how it felt on my wrist. We don't open and close the parks when we are down there. We might go for an hour or two and then back to our resort. We have been to Disney 50plus times, therefore, it isn't necessary to do the parks every day when we go down. We like to resort hop, especially at Christmas to see the decorations, etc. If we had small children, the magic bands and FP+ would probably be something we would be interested in.
