How often do you come on the DIS forum?

Facebook's to blame! most of the regulars on the community board don't post anymore. one example of this is the xmas exchange list used to have well over 40 people on it, this year only 8 :worried:

That's sad only 8 I couldn't afford the Christmas one but enjoyed taking part in the Halloween one x

Too much :rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's such a shame though that the boards are so quiet these days :sad2:

Let's ban FB & :disrocks:

I try to come on the DIS every day but only look at UKTP about once or twice a month as although I don't have a WDW trip in planning I still like to have a quick skip through in order to keep up to date on things there so that it won't be too much of a shock when we do go back!

I come on most days although not for as long as in the past.

I would say FB is the cause for the slowing down of the community board.

I would say FB is the cause for the slowing down of the community board.

Perhaps that is where the regulars have turned for their interaction, but I don't think it can be completely blamed on FB. The community board by nature will attract and 'hold' a stable core group - unlike the trip planning forum where members flit in and out between trips with a continuous turnover and new comers popping in. When you have a group of folk who build up a good rapport, which is inevitable after a significant period of time, they are going to want to interact on a more personal level. There are limits to how personal you can get on the DIS, not by concern of the members we know who read and post on here, but because it's public and absolutely anyone can read.

I've never been one to visit the Community Board very much and months could go by before I think of looking on there. I'm not really into games so that isn't a drawcard to me either. These little communities move in cycles. A new group will form in time and eventually break away just as has happened over recent months, and they too will miss their section of the board.

When planning a trip I can spend at least 5 plus hours every day/night but since I have just come back from our 3 wk family trip I haven't 1.had the time and 2. Wanted to come on here :( I find it more depressing when your already sad your trip is over! And since we like to do long trips then we don't go for another 2 yrs!!! Although DH has said if we don't get the stateside posting for some reason in September then we can go in a 15/18 months instead....I'm hoping to slip a adult only trip in though next yr.

Loads :goodvibes mainly to read and keep up to date with what's happening and tips for best prices, love the trip reports and I like to give some advise - planning on a trip in 2015

I come on daily but very rarely log in - only when like today I actually posted

I have noticed the community boards have dropped which is a shame - I've never been on face book but really enjoy this board

I occasionally go on other Disney forums but only just before a trip for weather updates, latest news from the recent travellers etc but I find these boards much friendlier and helpful

I'm a newbie to the Dis boards I never used it previously to help plan my previous trips. I check the site most days currently but once I have had my trip I probably won't come on much until I am planning the next one (probably in 2018:hyper:) I'd be far too envious reading about everyone else's lovely holidays.

I am so glad that I found this forum though. I have been to WDW six times previously but I have learnt so much for my next trip. It makes me wonder how I ever coped on my last trips by winging it and planning nothing!

When I have a holiday planned I must have become part of my nightly routine to log in and post loads.

I still tend to log on most night, but rarely post unless I can help anyone.

:beach:Been on dis quite a lot in the last few weeks ,really looking forward to trip in June PORT ORLEANS FQ.I think it would be kinda depressing if there was no upcoming trip, reading about planning, restuarants, parks.Weather here in Ireland is getting cold and dark and this website really brightens up these dark evenings:beach:
OH THIS IS MY FIRST POST ON DIS
