Just wondered as I was changing mine today, how often other people do it and if my frequency is the same as others.

I voted once every two weeks. But it varies. My bedding is in the washer right now. I last washed them 1 week ago. Occasionally it may go closer to three weeks. I  the smell of fresh bedding!!!!

Once a week. DH and I laugh at how long we used to go before changing the sheets when we were younger. Now if I go longer than a week, the sheets feel gross.

I voted for once a week, but really that is only in the summer. All my life I changed the sheets once a week, until about two years ago. I was thinking of ways to economize, and decided that in the winter, when we really don't sweat much, I could stretch it out to two. The thing is, it seems like most people in the world take their showers in the morning, but my daughter and I always shower at night, so we go to bed squeaky clean.

Now, if I could just cut back on the number of towels we use. Until I started reading the DIS boards, I thought everyone used a fresh towel for every shower. When there were five of us, I did laundry ALL the time. Now that we are two, it's not so bad. I recently tried stretching my towel use when my daughter was away for a week, but I had a hard time with it. I just felt....funny. I also don't like the look of the towels draped on the shower rod to dry out. I know, I know--- I have issues.;)

AMEN--I feel like we wash towels EVERYDAY. Especially in the summer when we are in the pool.

Funny story--about 3 years ago, DH and I threatened the girls about hanging up the towels, and reusing. DH was checking the bathrooms to make sure they did. One day, DD (7 at the time) was done w/ her shower, and her towel was not hanging up. He asked her which towel she used, and she pointed to the one he had used and hung up earlier. Her response: "YOU said we had to use the same towel more than once" Poor baby had been using her dad's towel for a couple of days:eek::rotfl:

OP--Sorry to go OT :flower3: Just had to share.

Every other week, but I do change more often than that in the summer.

I throw the pillow cases in all the time though.

I actually wash mine at least 2 times, sometimes 3 times a week. But we have 3 dogs, two of them sleep in bed with us. So, the sheets get a decent amount of dog hair on them.

The kids sheets I wash once a week (the dogs don't sleep with them)

About once every 2-3 weeks is when I remember or the sheets just start feeling gross. Actually I need to change them tonight.:)

Normally once a week. Growing up it was more like once every few months :lmao:

I found out a few years ago that I have a pretty sever allergy to dust mites... no wonder I was sick for the past 25-ish years :confused3 So now we wash the sheets every week in super hot water - I have an allergy cover thing for our mattress and pillows as well :goodvibes

I said once a month but we have gone longer. We just don't think about it. DS who is 4 1/2 gets his changed whenever his pullup leaks. It could be a month - or longer.

In college I changed my sheets once a semester :rolleyes1

I wash and change mine once a week. I'm addicted to the smell of clean sheets (I totally get what the Gain commercials are all about!) and would probably do it more often but I *hate* re-making the bed.

I change mine once a week and I love hanging them on the line in the summer for the fresh scent. :laundy:

once a week. I love sleeping in freshly cleaned sheets, but with all the sheets I have to wash, more than once a week is out of the question.

Normally once a week. We do a combined load of sheets and towels for me and DH and a load for DD. Yes, we use the same towels for a week. We are clean when we use them!
