I called today to see if there was the 40% code attached to my name (hey maybe lightening will strike twice...I got it last year!). The CM told me that there wasn't "right now but I would call back". Um, okay thanks. How often do you call?

I called to today and she said, there was nothing loaded in the computer for a discount.
I would like to know too.

When I made my ressie a month ago for June I asked about anything being attached to my name. The cm immediately said "no" and something about it would have been on the screen with all my info.

Since I am always reading about people being put on hold while the cm searches, is it possible that I had a lazy cm who didn't want to look? Should I bother to call again even though I already have a reservation?

I have the same issue. The woman quickly said no. In the past, I've been put on hold. She clearly wasn't typing my info into the computer or anything. I think this is just a general frustration with CRO. Some CMs are very helpful and go above and beyond and others just don't.

I have always been a very persistent person and it has worked in my favor for the most part...I say call everyday if u feel the need. Its very rare you will get the same cm or if they even would remember...:) ps-I called two days in a row so far....I will call again tomorrow:rolleyes1

I called yesterday and the CM said nothing on your account "yet". That "yet", made me wonder!

My CM told me to hold while she looked when I called yesterday. Then she said there was one, but hold to let her find the details. It was 20-30% off rack rate, but there were black out dates for all summer. I booked Pop with AAA rate for 8/3-8/10. It was $65/night, which is pretty good. I'd still be happy to get that 40% off PIN. I got one last year and it saved me a bunch!

I called last year and the cm told me there was no code that was assocaited w/ me... then the following week I received something in the mail... So my advise, call call call... u just never know when its going to be there...

I tried calling Disney again...I was told "no code yet" again. This time the CM added "keeping trying, you never know when some magic might happen" My God, CMs...stop fueling my obsessive fire :rotfl:

I called this am to upgrade from DDP to Deluxe Dining and had them check for a pin code. She also said nothing yet, but keep trying...

My dumb question:

When you call do you just say "hi I am just calling to see if there is a code/pin next to my name".

And when they say no do you say "OK thanks, by?"

I called yesterday and I didn't even ask about a pin until I got a quote back. I went through all of the details of what I wanted, how much, who was going and after the final quote I asked, could you check to see if I have any additional discounts connected with my name or a family member. The CM looked for maybe a minute and quoted me a much lower price. With calculator in hand on my side I asked, is that 30% off and he said yes, then I thanked him for doing all of that work and then asked if he would mind looking to see if I also have the 40% discount too, so he looked another minute and said yes I could give you pop for $49 a night -- I booked it so fast I think I forgot to breath. So even if they offer you the 30%, you could also have the 40% too!

The first time I asked about a code attached to my name, the CM acted like he didnt have a clue what a code was.

The second time I asked, the CM said "if you had a code, you would have received it in the mail, they dont just and I quote magically appear in our system".

I have been reluctant to ask ever since.

Yep, but what stinks is that by the time I get through all the prompts and holding, that call takes like 25 mins!

I called yesterday and asked as a former guest at the resorts if anything was showing up on our name as far as a discount...the CM replied "no, I'm sorry there isn't"

I was not convinced she knew what she was looking for, so I hung up, and called back right away, the CM who answered asked my last name, then came back and called me by my first name, so I knew he 'found' me in the system...long story short, got a wonderful CM who said "you are gonna love this deal"....and I got 40% off the Poly

Funny thing, when I got home, the 40% postcard was in my mail!!:goodvibes

Sometimes if you feel like the CM you spoke to doesn't seem to be in the know, it doesn't hurt to call right back, speak with another CM and just double check what they are saying is correct, I have done this many times over the years, and usually when I have that feeling, it works in my favor.

I called today after reading this post last night... Nothing... Not a code or a pin or anything... I asked if he knew of any discounts coming out... of course he said no...

He seemed pretty knowledgable about me not having a code... does that mean that it doesn't pop up out of the blue at all... or should I keep calling to see if one pops up... he really did search for me...

It could very well mean that there isn't a code 'attached' to you right now...there had to be one for us, as I had the postcard in my mail when I got home that very night...I just didn't feel the first CM I talked to seem to know what I meant or what I was looking for, that is why I immediately called back...don't give up hope, and if you try again, all you are out is your time and you might luck into a good rate...good luck

How do you get these postcards?? Do you have the Disney Visa?? Or is it because you have gone before??

I'm curious what phone number you are calling? When you say CRO, are you referring to the Disney Travel Company?
