how often do you apply for a job change?

It may be coming up and Im not sure if I should apply or not. Director isnt sure what new job description will be. However, I believe a good part of my job (the part I enjoy) may move into this new position. I think I have to apply -
even though Im comfortable where I am, have my own space, etc.
I may be able to make it work. I also feel if the job descript goes the way Im hearing that Im most qualified since Ive been doing it for 4yrs now just not to the advanced stage it would be.

How often do you guys go through job repositioning?

Never. I am IT. I'm the only employee. I do everything (girl friday) so that my boss can write books and the other boss can paint.

I am very appreciated. Neither one of them know a thing about their finances, how to operate the accounting system, payroll taxes, how to operate my computer!

Years ago, I worked in banking. Had to advance. Hated it. I loved being a teller (starting job) and hated when I became a mortgage loan officer (ending job).
