How often do the refillable mug designs change?

Ok quick question about the mugs... are these refillable on any drinks anywhere? Or are these just at your hotel? I know that when we go we are looking at getting them in the Deluxe Dining Plan but I wanted to know how much use we would get out of them.

Since all the resort counter service locations are selling the exact same mug designs, you can use the mugs at any of the WDW Resorts and not just where you are staying.

Just came back yesterday. The mugs are the same as pictured. MTCW, I don't care for the design of the cup. It's not the graphics that I mind althought it is almost identical to the ones we got in May. The shape of the cup is different. It is the same size from top to bottom (mostly). Can't wait til they change the design again.

I tend to use my mugs at home because I love to drink water from our water tap in the kitchen. However, I did find with the skinnier mugs, I had some issues trying to fit the lid on, especially after they had been washed in the dishwasher.

Regardless, the mug designs are always cool . I was a little bit sad when they took away the resort specific mugs, but now that I think about it as much as I like the resort specific mugs, I do not need 10,000 of same ones, especially if we are staying at the same hotel year after year. With disney changing the mug designs yearly, it makes collecting them that much better!!!

I hope that if they get New Mugs they will have
the MUPPETS on them!!!

That would be awesome!! (And not too far fetched considering the news of more integration of the Muppets at the parks from the D23 expo)
