How often can you transfer points into your account? Is it by calendar year, use year, or use year of the transferred points? I transferred some BWV points with a December use year into my OKW account last October. I have an August use year. When can I transfer points into me account again?

I am 98% sure it is one transfer either in or out per use year.

Feel free to be 100% correct - that is the current rule,. :teeth:

I usually state the rule as one transfer per use year, either into your account or out of your account, but not both in the same use year.

MS told me that if you own both memberships/contracts that there is no limit to transferring. I haven't tried it but this is the info I received.

If you own both contracts it's still one transfer either in or out per use year.
Your one contract would be the transfer out. The other would be transfer in so you would use up your tranfer for your contracts for the year.
I did this this year and was told I already had used my one transfer for the year. I would phone and ask again.

If both your contracts are under the same contract number and use year you won't need to transfer one to the other. If your contracts have a diiferent contract number then you will have to tranfer one to the other.

My use year? So I can transfer again beginning in August?
It's supposed to be the UY where the points are transferred to/from, not the UY where you are when the transfer occurs.

I have two UY and was told I could transfer between them as I needed. That's two seperate membership numbers, one Dec and one August....

I think you'll find that wholesale unlimited transfers and transfers of banked/borrowed points between separate master contracts of a single owner are an enigma to DVC. I have direct information from DVC, albeit a few years old, that says they will look at such on a case by case basis and make it work where possible. What I've found in the past is that they will make it work if it makes sense such as when you need points in a single account to make that last nights reservation or for exchange options where the points must be in a single contract. I have personally "transferred" banked points several times to make that last night of a reservation. However, my info is several years old simply because it hasn't come up. I don't do exchanges using DVC, I don't own as many points/contracts as I once did and I plan better than I did the first 2-3 years. Still, I don't recall anyone posting about a situation that would put it to the test since the rule was changed back to one transfer per year, there may have been some but I simply don't recall any. But I am confident that DVC will not simply suspect the rules on a whim when it comes to multiple contracts of a single owner but am also confident they'll work with you where appropriate.
