How often are bed comforters changed?

I would burn the ones in my own house if I didn't wash them more often.... we actually use a bedspread at home because I wash everything on my bed at home weekly.

Hotel industry standard for comforters is that they are generally laundered once every 90 days, unless something spills on them or they get stained, etc. This is why many hotels are going towards duvets because they are much easier to clean and change out.

EWWWW, I can see something getting spilled on my bed the minute I get there.
dh has no problem with them and covers up to his nose. me, I fold it back to bottom of the bed so it will keep my toes cozy and just use a sheet for the rest of me.
please don't tell me the sheets don't get a change over....

Oh I hope they change them to the duvets/triple sheets at AKL by Dec when we go.

I hate those polyester bedspreads they have now- I always picture the last guests changing a baby's diaper or worse on them ick!

Ok, now I'm officially grossed out!

I did not know this, and had thought they were washed between guests. Yuck! I agree with burning them, that is nuts I hated them before as they felt like a lead weight pushing down on me, and last time we just pushed it off of us as we could not stand the feel of it. Now, it's going to be the first thing to go! Ick!

We dont ever use the comforters! CSR had duvets in February.
