How often afternoon parade a "Rainout"?

In late August I'm told it rains almost every day. How often is the afternoon parade at MK, AK and MGM cancelled? WHen do they decide to cancel and how is it announced? I wouldn't want to waste valuable touring time staking out a spot only to find out the parade's off.
Any summer tourers experience this?

We watched the MGM cars and stars parade in a total down pour last year. That was the only time the rain and our parade plans haves crossed, but they did not delay the parade at all that time.

I was at MK last year and the parade was cancelled due to a thunderstorm. What sucked was they waited right up until 3:00 to call if off. MOst times you can tell somthing's coming or they'll make an announcment early if it's already raining.

I know when it rained at the Magic Kingdom, they would always cancel Spectro when it really rained but not always did with Share a Dream. They also usually will always do fireworks.

They do keep an eye on the radar...if it looks like it's just a short shower, they will delay the parade. Sometimes, of course, the weather will change in an instant and they will have to cancel it anyway. Sometimes they will try to send the parade out a few minutes early to 'beat' the rain. If there's lightning nearby, they will cancel the parade no matter what.

We were there last week and the Spectromagic was rained out on Wed but the fireworks went on. The next day the afternoon parade was rained out. On friday, but I am not sure on this because we left at 8:30 in a steady downpour and it didn't end until after 10, but Fantasmic was cancelled.. We were extremely dissappointed.

When we were there in May, we saw in Share a Dream in a total downpour! We just put our panchos on and enjoyed the fact that nowhere but Disney do you stand in the rain to watch a parade! It was great seeing all the parade characters dancing and playing in the rain!
