How Obama Got Elected

There is a bias in all elections. Depending on what source you are watching, hearing or reading...it can come from either side.

I'll also agree with you that most of the country is somewhere in the middle. BOTH parties would benefit if they'd pull their big dumb heads out of the sand and recognize that.

Yeah it really depends on what you are watching: those that lean left-ABC, CBS, NBC CNN, MSNBC..

On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama's limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple... the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience........

Millions more were not shocked...because millions more voted for him than that other guy. ;)

And ZOGBY??? ZOGBY??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Okay...who remembers the touting of the Zogby poll right before the election that stated McCain had taken the lead? Posters here went APE over that Zogby poll. There was practically celebrations in the streets. Many posters here took it as proof that McCain would win.

Forgive me if I fail to see the relevance in this rude, bitter, hateful poll.

More people voted for BO than JM. Period. It's done. It's over. It's OVER.

This is irony at work.
An article claims the media was biased, yet only Obama voters were polled.

Also, what a pathetically small sample size,

500 people? 500 people out of 66 million.

;)

And the conservatives should be embarrassed by the number of people who voted for McCain, not for the man himself but because his running mate was "hot" and they "liked her glasses". I heard that one myself at church. From people who really should know better.

I've heard Obama supporters who claimed he would "fix their teeth" and send their son to college, but the people who make good sound bites on the news are not the major reason Obama was elected. Many PP here have stated the real reasons why. The economy and the sense that McCain had become someone they didn't recognize.

I know Obama has promised everything to everybody, But I'd not heard that one ..:rotfl2:

Most conservatives I know didn't vote for McCain at all, they voted against Obama. The ones who voted for Palin are conservatives who were willing to sit the election out rather than vote for someone who betrayed them on illegal immigration, campaign finance reform, tax relief and a host of other issues. Remember, until the election McCain was the darling of the same media that was in the tank for Obama. Do you really think that was the sign of someone with a lot of conservative support?

There are lots of conservatives who aren't even upset by the loss. They see it in the same vein as suffering through a Carter in order to get a Reagan.

We'll I definitely know how they feel on that score, Lord knows I feel like I've suffered the last 8 years to get to...Any body not Bush, and I can say with fair amount of certainity that I would give up a body part to never experience the Bush years again.

Any yet Liberals have been complaining about how Bush won for the past 8 years.

Funny how in the eyes of the left, Conservatives "steal" elections and Liberals "win" them.

Actually, I know quite a few conservatives who have been complaining about Busch as well. Funny how that is.

Busch did do one thing well, bring two parties together in agreement.

Doesn't Busch make beer?

No kidding. The link points out the sad reason why. Maybe you should click on the link. It might be enlightening.

You should be embarrassed by the cluelessness of your fellow Obama supporter. Or is just winning for the sake of winning the only thing you care about?

I know I'm embarrassed by some of my fellow Obama supporters, there's no doubt of that. And if I had remained Republican, I would be embarrassed by some of my fellow McCain supporters too.

There are some pretty ignorant, poorly educated Democrats out there. There are some pretty ignorant, poorly educated Republicans out there.

To take the words of 12 stupid people and apply it with a broad brush is bad reporting at minimum. To take the words of 12 stupid people and believe they are representative of a particular group is ignorant.

I voted for Obama, and I graduated from Chapel Hill, too, as did my DH. Neither of us were interviewed . . .

Obama got elected (as well as a big bump in senators/congressmen) because our current President sent this country down a path of endless quagmire and corruption.

In this atmosphere even Kucinich stood a chance.

Dangit. I KNEW I shouldn't have put in my name for People's Sexiest Man Alive and just went for President.

Obama got elected because it was the will of God and everyone respects that, right?.

Well, I figure if Palin can say the war in Iraq was because Jesus wanted it..............;)

Many conservatives would agree with you. He did some good things with tax cuts, he made good appointments to the Supreme Court but he didn't rein in spending and tried to screw us over big time on illegal immigration. Anyone who can get a Democratic majority in the Congress elected to bring fiscal responsibility is no friend, he was just better than the other guy.

My sister-in-law was a McCain supporter. She didn't like Obama because she thought he was a secret muslim.

My sister asked her what she thought of Sarah Palin. Her answer? "Who's Sarah Palin?"

This was 3 weeks before the election.

I think we can agree, both sides have their fair share of nitwit supporters. I count my own side (I voted for Obama) among them.

Maybe it was the same when we all realized we elected the class clown as our last president, who bankrupted evrything he ever touched, and had virtually no experience.....where was that liberal media then???
