How NOT to make a loaf of bread

I used to have a bread machine..it was a wedding gift from somebody at my mom's church. But several moves later, it got joggled enough that it broke and we tossed it. :( So now it's back to making it by hand if I want 'real' bread.

SOOOOO... I gotta know- how did they turn out?

Let me guess. With your new found skills, you have decided to give up on all other pursuits and go into business baking rolls, as you are now the queen of yeastly persuasion, and the admiration of family, friends, and neighbors.

Am I right? (please tell me I'm right). :rotfl2:

Queen of Yeastly Persuasion? Ooh I like the sound of that! :lmao:

They actually turned out ok, despite the fact that I totally flipped when I went to check on them after the first rise. I had put the bowl in the oven right next to the ovenlight and holy smokes did they EVER rise. Right out of the bowl!

I cut the dough into several pieces, cut those pieces into several smaller pieces and rolled them into rounds, which I placed on a greased cookie sheet, as well in a greased 9X12 pan. The ones in the pan came out rather cleanly, but the ones on the cookie sheet stuck to the bottom. :faint: So most of the rolls were sans bottoms. :( But they still tasted ok. :teeth: They were even good heated up hours later when I woke up in the middle of the night unable to sleep.

I'm glad thay at least tasted ok!!!! That's a step in the right direction. And who needs roll bottoms anyway? They made a business out of selling muffin tops, maybe you could do roll tops.
