Listening to the podcast this morning I was surprised how cool it was there, only 57 degrees. In 2008 we were in Orlando this same week and it was sunny and in the mid to upper 80's every day and not a drop of rain. I knew
we got pretty darn lucky, but I'm curious as to what the norm would be this time of year? Is 57 and rainy usual?

The normal average temp right now should be 73 in Orlando, as I am typing it is 53 and sunny but very windy so the wind chill is much lower. This winter has been completely off from normals. On the news last night they keep saying things like "In my 31 years I have not seen it like this". Most of the tropical vegetation is gone, even if you covered them up we have had so many freezing nights the plants have died. My backyard looks like our yard when we lived up north with no color and ALL the leaves are gone from most of the trees.

We are having a cold winter here in Orlando, but the whole country seems to be having unusual weather patterns.

How often do the mid Atlantic states get not one, but two enormous snowstorms?
