How much $$$....

With as many trips as we have taken to WDW, I should know this, but how much should I budget for meals and souvies? It will be me, dh, dd 4 and ds 17 months going at the end of October. We will eat breakfast in our room or something quick and cheap on the go. We just went in December and did a lot of character and higher end dinners, so we probably won't be spending AS much as usual, and tickets are taken care of ,leftover from last trip.

Any suggestions??

We generally budget $150.00 per day. We're not big souveiners(sp) shoppers anymore, but if we see a really different tee shirt or key chain I'll pick it up.

of course, ymmv, but on our last trip our kids were close in age to yours. (Keep in mind that we are conservative eaters and thrifty in general.)

We brought along cereal and bagels for breakfast in the room, so no added $ there.

Lunch at a counter service ran us around $20, we shared everything amongst ourselves and didn't get an individual meal for each person, probably 2 adult meals for all 4 of us.

Table service dinner averaged around $50-55. Meals for 2 adults and 1 child, baby sampled off all our plates.

Another $10 for snacks/drinks in the parks. (We packed snacksize ziplocks of pretzels, goldfish crackers, nutrigrain bars, etc to ward off the in-line hungries)

Total food $75-85/day.

We tend not to buy many souvies, as they just end up buried in a drawer once we are home.
