So we are getting ready to move and I have a lot to do. Much of it is cleaning out 25 years worth of crap.....um, I mean wonderful memories of my life. I have stuff in the attic, basement and garage. I'm getting a dumpster in because it'll just be so much easier and I'll be prone to throw more stuff away. I'm also getting in a POD to move our stuff in.
I certainly can't do this myself and I have about 2-3 weeks to do it in. Of course the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned, The sooner it's done, the sooner I can go.
Anyway I thought I would hire my son, who is 17, and some of his friends (1 or 2) to do the legwork and carrying for me. I'm disabled and need to be careful what I do because I tend to over do it and then pay dearly.
I'm trying to figure out how much to pay the kids. Should I do a day rate or hourly rate? They both have their benefits and drawbacks.
(Yes, I know I could ask them but they are all at the beach and I need to put these numbers together to give to the company for an estimate of the move)
Thanks!
