A little over $3.00 is OK. Not a great tip but not a bad one either. I might have gone higher if I had gotten it fast and hot. But if the pizza took 40 minutes to get there then $3.00 is fine.

Sounds good to me - I just had a $20 order (2 pies) dropped off, and I gave $3, and he seemed thankful!

It's between 15 and 20% so I don't know why he was miffed?

I always tip our Dominos driver a flat 3.00 tip. They are litterally 1 mile away and they charge 1.50 delivery charge. I know the driver doesn't get the 1.50 but I think 3.00 is more than adequate.

I think 3.00 was ok or maybe a little too much. Idk if ur store charges, but whenever we order from Dominios we get charged a 1.20 delivery fee..for watever reason and we only live like 3 miles from the store

Store is only 3 minutes away, I say you tipped enough. You could've very easily have gone to pick it up yourself; then he wouldn't haven't gotten any tip.

my sister just asked me this last night. she had thai delivered, cost about $22 and she also tipped $3. (it was a delivery service that came to the door, not someone from the actual place, which is a few blocks away)

I always get flustered for some reason when the delivery person comes, especially if i didn't know the total beforehand. Figuring out the change and the tip on the spot. I usually do the calling and someone else in the house does the door.

$5 is my pizza delivery tip. those guys literally risk their lives delivering pizza. A delivery guy was robbed and killed here last week. Yep, $5 or a lot more if it's a big order.

Your tip was fine. First of all the drivers make at least minimum wage , but if I remember correctly they make more then min..they are not like wait staff in restaurants. Second of all they also charge a delivery fee. If he was miffed then he should get another job!!

I always tip my pizza guy $5. My order is usually around $16 (not Dominos).

I generally go with $2.00 per pizza.
If we place an order with sides (not often) I tip 15% - 20% depending on service and attitude of the driver.

For a $17 order, I would have given him a $3 tip for an even $20 total. Tough noogies if he felt it wasn't enough.

Domino's here (where I am in Canada) charges a $3 delivery fee. On top of that I generally tip $2-3. They deliver from 1/2 a block away, so we almost always pick up, though.

FYI- At Pizza hut at least, the driver get 1/2 of the delivery fee, or 1.00 per delivery.

We are on the outer rim of the delivery area so we tend to tip a little better than adverage.

Apparently tho around here they have a problem with drivers increasing the tip on their own when u use visa to pay. Cause ya know how most places they keep the part with the original signature - well a couple of months ago they switched it around and now I keep the one with the signature and they get the carbon. If I tip cash I have to note it on the slip.
