How Much Will Spectro Affect Attendance

We'll be at WDW from Dec. 11 through 16, and I'm curious how much Spectromagic will affect attendance at MK on the days when it's scheduled? All day? Or just before the parade? Will it affect attendance more or less than EE?

I have experienced this in both May and early December. The park is very crowded all day. Go to another park during the day and just go in the evening if you want to see Spectro (assuming you have park hoppers).

Spectro makes MK a total zoo. If you must see it, just go for the parade and don't plan on moving around much as you can't...unless you like to be trampled and jostled and banged into. Visit MK on another day to experience rides, etc.

We usually hop over to the MK for Spectro--- but don't spend the whole day there. However, if they're running 2 that night. We, in the past, have arrived at MK for dinner PS. Then hit quite a few attractions during the 1st running of Spectro. Then we get spots for the 2nd one. During that first Spectro, the crowds drop very considerably!! However, we tend to shy away from MK on a Spectro day. Unless of course, it's peak season and it's running almost everyday.

Hmmm..... So I'm wondering.... Should we just avoid Spectro? We're going mid-Dec and it's just running once on the night that we were planning to go. My DH is NOT a big Disney fan(he has other good qualities, really), and if it's as crowded as you guys say, it may be more than he can handle and not worth the hassle on our last night of vacation...

Is it just you and your DH? If you don't have small kids, you don't have to worry about finding a spot on the curb. You can stand behind the people on the curb and still be able to see. If you haven't seen it, I would go.
