How much will FD affect next year's ADR's?

Your thoughts please.

I've booked a bounceback for September 2010 which has FD.

With the new changes of ADR reservations to be at 180 days vs. 90 and the free DDP only being offered to moderates and deluxes how much will the restaurants be affected?

I'm guessing FD will open up the the general public next year for the fall again. For those of you who's deciding on the value resorts for the FD, would you upgrade to the DDP?

I'm curious as to know would getting ADR's be easier with these changes.

Free DDP is not being offered only at moderates and deluxes. Free DDP booked on the fall offer included the counter service plan free at value resorts - that counts as free DDP. However, reports are that the current bounceback offer includes free basic DDP for all reservations, including value resorts.

It's my guess that the free dining plan offered in any general public offer for August-September 2010 will be the basic dining plan at all resorts.

Even if it is the free counter service for values (which based on the bounceback plan isn't likely), the price to upgrade to basic DDP is negligible. Many will take advantage of the upgrade.

I consider it more likely that Disney might require length-of-stay tickets with the free dining package, like they are with the current 7 for 4/5.

ADRs will be affected the same way they normally are. Make sure you have ADRs for all table service meals, and get ADRs for the most popular restaurants as soon as you possibly can.

QSDP was free for value but the basic DDP was only for the deluxe and moderate. We did value and did indeed upgrade.

I think the biggest factor about getting ADR's will be if and when they release it to the general public. Now that ADR's are going back to 180 days I don't think the general public offer will be out by then. So hopefully is should make things a little easier.

I booked bouceback at POP (value) for 2010 during FD and have the "regular" dining plan (1CS, 1TS, 1Snack).

I agree with wdwnomad that the 180 ADR window should make things easier for bouceback ADRs as I'm sure boucebackers only represent a small percentage of the FD guests. My window will open in Feb. and I don't believe FD to the general public (or even Visa Card members) will be offered by then.

However, those early planners could always book at full price with the hopes of tagging on FD once offered (which is what we did last year). This group could make ADRs in Feb/March for an Aug/Sept trip but again I'd guess it's a small group.

Either way it makes no difference to me as I'll be booking ADRs ASAP.

I was pretty stressed making ADR's this past visit and was wondering what kind of stress relief I could get in getting the ADR's that I want for the same time frame next year. I guess the biggest difference is the 180 day window vs. 90 days that will benefit early planners than anything else.

As for the bounceback I see the biggest benefit is not only guaranteed FD for next year, but for those in values to not have to pay to upgrade to the DDP.

I also booked regular FD at Pop for next Sept.
I am super excited about 180 adr. I was on hold for over an hour to book last year and don't want to do that again

I'm booked at POP next fall and waiting for FD... can you tell me what was the cost (apprx) to upgrade from QS to DDP? I'm trying to decide to upgrade our food or upgrade our hotel in the event of FD for the general public.
