Two weeks ago made my 37th visit to WDW and we've been with DVC since 1999, but we still spend alot. We do b'fast in the room (i cook eggs, bacon, grits, etc.), then eat a sit down lunch at the park and a sit down dinner.

I like to eat my way through the parks! Lunch is usually at the Brown Derby, Cinderella's Castle, France in Epcot. Dinner may be one of the lunch places, or England. We always go one really nice place a trip, like the Yachtsman or Calif. Grill.

One thing we don't do that many others do, is snack! We get a D.Coke in the morning and one in the afternoon and that is it. We are full from our meals and if you buy a lot of snacks, you could have just as easily eaten at a nice restaurant.

I am probably the most frugal of all. When I go to WDW with my husband and two kids, we spend anywhere from $100-150 for four total days (not including transport up or our admission tickets). We live a couple of hours away, and go up 4-6 times a year together. I have gone before with just the kids and my mom or a girlfriend, and have spent $0. (I bring a cooler in the car with pre-cooked french toast, spaghetti stuff, and lunch stuff, etc. etc...) People think I'm rich we go so often, but it's not true! I probably don't spend any more $ going up there (including on gas and DVC) then they probably do in a weekend or two at home!

About $200 for two of us and it's almost all food. We like Disney restaurants, what can I say. Chefs de France rules!

I'm finding that the more often we go, the less we spend. Now I'm seeing that we're in line with a lot of others. About $130 for 2 adults and a 10 y/o. Don't do a lot of souvinear shopping and we've started cutting way back on the attraction photos. One big meal a day seems to be working out fine. If I could keep it to under $1000 for 9 days I would be happy!!

I also see the more we go the less we spend. For our upcoming trip I'm setting aside $100 a week for spending money, this will give us $700 for 7 nights. (2 adults, 2 kids) Course, BWV is taken care of, I've already paid for the 2 nights at PC, our APs have been paid for and so has the Family Magic Tour. We drive down in one day, probably stop once for a fast food meal, sometimes Cracker Barrel. I guess we fill up twice?

We'll eat breakfast and snacks in the room (I'm not counting that in my allotment, I'll bring food and cokes from home, perishables I'll fax in using the DVC order form.) Lunch is always on the go, counter service. We always make one PS a day for dinner. That is our biggest expense. I take juice boxes and pretzels for the kids in my backpack.

As for junk, I'm lucky my kids have never bothered me about that. We used to buy alot of stuff and have a guest room full to prove it, but we just don't do that anymore. Maybe a couple pins here and there, kids might get one thing. After each trip I pack away the Pal Mickey, ponchos, lanyards, light spinners, Minnie Ears, water fans, etc. So no need to rebuy all that stuff.

This trip will be the first time we've had to pay for our youngest since she just turned 3. It will be interesting to see how our money goes or if we'll end up using the check card.......
