How much under invoice for new van?

We just purchased a 2013 T & C in August. My husband did quite a bit of research before buying. We have always owned Toyotas and never a minivan before, but he read really good things about the T & C. He did get the dealer to finally give him the price he wanted, but he worked for a couple of months to get it. At the time we bought it, it was not a necessity, so he was in no hurry. It took a while, but he got what he wanted for the price he wanted. We actually really like ours.

If you are a USAA member, they have a car buying feature that will give you a USAA price and the locations that will honor it. It also has a link to Truecar.com that gives you the fair price along with good and great prices in your area. We negotiated with this in hand on a Honda Pilot this year. I think the MSRP was around $44,000 for a 2013. We got it down around $8000. But we did buy a demo with a few thousand miles on it. I highly recommend USAA pricing and Truecar. We even walked away, then called and said we would come back and sign if they added remote start and they did.

Agreed. We're currently looking at replacing my 2007 Pilot with a brand new one. The "list" price of the one I want is $39,600. USAA can get it for I think it was about $35,500. Ours last few cars have been bought using USAA, either the actual buying program or just telling the dealer we are members and they have given us the deal without going through USAA. They know that USAA can send us to any dealership so they're willing to negotiate to keep you in theirs.

We just bought the brand new Sienna. I went to kellysbluebook.com put in every feature I wanted. Came up with invoice and fair price. SHowed them the paperwork and they gave it to me for the "fair" price. No issues at all..
