In Dec. and April we arrived at the parks at opening and did everything that we wanted to by early afternoon. We did all of Fantasyland in about an hour!

I know that July is a lot more crowded. If we arrive at opening, what will the likely wait times be? I am sure that they are not going to all be walk ons, but I am trying to get a feel for how much we will be able to do.

Thanks! :sunny:

You can do most all of it by lunch! Just get there early... I mean EARLY! If you don't waste a lot of time, stopping for snacks/drinks, etc... you should be able to get most all of the major attractions in. Try to skip the slow loading ride... like Dumbo, if you can. Then, if time allows, fit in all of the other shows/parades/attractions that interest you. Plus you won't be melting out in the afternoon sun!

Well I'm not sure about MK.. but from experience my sister and I did all of Future World, Rio Del Tiempo and Maelstrom (we also went to Yatch & Beach Club for lunch) by 6:00 during Spring Break.

We always plan to arrive for rope drop the morning after an evening EMH. This strategy worked perfect last July at MK. We toured Fantasyland and Tomorrowland without lines. When we crossed the park to Splash and BTMR, lines were still short until 11:00. I don't think the wait times are any longer than in December and April in the a.m.

Can't stress it enough - get out there EARLY! July is absolutely fantastic at WDW - and here's why:

If you go early, you can cover alot of ground by lunchtime and then get the heck out of there. Hit the pool or take a rest for a while. The parks are open late, so there's no rush to get back right away. And if you're lucky, you'll miss the afternoon rain in the parks. :thumbsup2

Hey ScarletFire,

We are going this December and I am interested in your December experience.

We only have 2 days in the parks 12/20 & 12/21. We are strongly considering doing MK both days with DS 4.5 & DD 2.5. However, we are worried one of these days will be a morning EMH.

Have you ever gone to MK on a morning EMH day? If so, how was it?

Our intention is to be there at rope drop both days, no matter how early it is. We can go back to the park after naps on 12/20 (Wed.) since it is the only day that week without a MVMCP but 12/21 is probably out in the pm.

Anyway, I would appreciate hearing about your experiences!

TIA!
