I have a fast pass for lights motor action at 4:00 thinking about making dinner ressie for Sci Fi drive in, I have seen stories of taking 2 hours to get in, watch and get out, any advise welcome

Touring Plans says it's a 30 minute show. I think that's correct, but I can't remember. You probably need to get there 15-30 minutes before, at least. We got in right as it started but ended up in the nosebleed section. Even with an FP, you still can't wait to the last minute. They just start letting everyone in at one point, and there's no FP queue after that. I would aim to get there toward the beginning of your FP window. I think the show will start at 4:10. It will also take time to leave the stadium and then walk to Sci-Fi. I would think 1.5 hours max.

I have never heard of it taking 2 hours to get in, watch and get out. In fact, I just checked my pictures from the first time I saw it, and the first picture I have of something that I took after the show is time-stamped only 5 minutes after the last picture I took in the show. http://wdwent.com/ is showing the start time as 4:10 and the show time as 38 minutes. Given that, you should have no trouble making a 5:15 ADR.

We also have a FP+ for this for the 4:10 show. Our FP arrival window is 3:40-4. We have a TSMM FP booked for 4:50-5:50. We figured the show is 38 mins. so we will hopefully get to TSMM somewhere around the beginning half of our arrival window. There were other shows, rides etc. we tried to book with tight times and the FP system wouldn't let me do it. So, since for this show and then TSMM it let me, I presume we will have time to make it to our TSMM, but stranger things have happened to us at Disney, (like a FP+ for TSMM that took over 90 mins. due to a glitch) so we will just hope for the best!

the problem leaving is if you need elevator to leave as it is small and the line backs up unlike arrival where everyone arrives at different time everyone leaves at same time. waiting for that can take time

Is there a better or worse place to sit for a quicker exit? No elevator needed. Do they make you sit in the FP area if you enter with FP or can you sit where you want, assuming there is a better place to make that quick exit?

We've always been able to just walk in without fast pass. We do travel during February, so that may make a difference. I would allot about an hour and a half to be safe. However, we got to meet the drivers last year (maybe 15 minute wait) which was pretty fun!
