How much time should we allot with a Toy Story Mania fastpass?

We have a Toy Story Mania fastpass from 2:30pm - 3:30pm and a dinner ADR at 3:40pm at Mama Melroses. How much time should we expect to be inside doing Toy Story? I'm thinking we should probably get there by 3:00pm.....

The attraction itself takes 7 minutes according to tp.com. How long will you wait before that with a FP+? I'd say 5-10 minutes at that time of day, but hard to estimate.

We always wait 20 minutes on fp for TSM Better than the line though. Just hit it at 2:30.

Keep in mind that the FP only gets you to the merge point near the bottom of the stairs. There you join the people who came from the standby line and head to the final boarding area to be placed on a ride vehicle. It will usually take 5-10 minutes to get boarded even after you get past the merge point.

The time it takes to get to the merge point is going to vary based on how many people arrive with FPs in the 10-15 minutes before you. We have never taken more than 5-10 minutes to get to the merge point out of about a half dozen uses of FPs since FP+; sometimes we walk right up to it. But, others have reported encountering long lines in the FP+ queue. I have heard some people say that they waited 25 minutes with a FP, but they usually don't say if that is 25 minutes to get to the merge point or 25 minutes to get boarded.

if you arrive at 3 PM you should be fine to get out and get to your ADR at 3:45. But, if it was me, I would be getting there a little earlier just to be on the safe side.

I would get there right at 2:30 when your FP+ time opens. Then if you finish the ride and have time to kill you can just take your time getting to your ADR.

I would get there by 3:00. This will give you 30 min. for TSM and then 10 min. to get to your reservation.

I have occasionally had TSM take 20 or even 30 minutes in the FP line. I would get there at 2:30 to be safe.

From getting in the FP+ line to finishing the ride took 45 minutes in August. Can't imagine what standby must have been like.

I've switched our ADR to 4:00pm, just to be on the safe side.
