How much time should I allow myself....

to drive from Dixie Landings at WDW to Universal Studios? We have to be at US at the front gate at 8:00 am on Friday, March 23. What time should we leave Dixie Landings (Allowing time to park)?

I give myself about an hour. There is usually no traffic that time of day but the walk from the parking lot is a DISTANCE from the park entrance. I hate to rush and you will if you had less than an hour for that run.

Thanks for the info. What do you mean by a DISTANCE??? I was hoping not to have to bring my stroller for my 2 1/2 year old and just rent one in the park. Will I end up carrying her? Is there a tram like at Disney? Thanks again

For Universal, there is no tram, but rather a series of moving walkways. Even with the walkways, it is still quite a walk before you reach Citywalk and then the actual entrances to the Studios or IOA. Give yourself at least 15 minutes for the walk.
