How much time is needed??

We have a Sunday visit (july 13th) to US however we are staying at our DVC resort (Animal Kingdom) and driving over in the morning. We want to be at the gates when the park opens to the general public. Obviously expecting a huge crowd that morning so how much time should I budget from freeway exit, to parking ramp, to walking to the gates?? I'm guessing a good 45 min??

since you are driving, there could be a wait to get into the parking garage at the darkside.
