how much time for mt. roberts tramway, juneau?

i'm wondering how much time i should budget for taking the tram, including purchasing the tix for a family of four, waiting in line, go to the top, and come back. basically from the time we get off the ship 'till we get back to the dock.

does anyone know? thanks in advance.

We we up twice both times an hour. We went up at 8 am and in the afternoon and had a good walk around. There is a free shuttle from the dock to its entrance.

There are hiking trails from the top tram station. You could spend an hour or two if you care to explore. Some good views of the harbor and the Wonder, if the weather is clear.

On ours it was quite funny, we had sun, fog, rain all coming and going, I have photos of thick fog and clear views, we went up twice and it felt different, the tickets are all day not per trip.

Last year, we spent about 2 - 2.5 hours up there. The hiking trails are very easy walks and are nice. We also had enough time to visit Mendenhal Glacier and have some lunch in town. I also popped on over to the capital building to have a quick look around (5 minutes).

• We had a booked Coastal Copters private charter at 10.30am when the fog normally has gone, so we:1
• Went up mount roberts at 8am walked the trails
• Down 9.30am.
• Walked the town.
• Shuttle pick up for Copters.
• Flew and landed on glaciers walked on the glacier an hour.
• Back to shopping in town
• Up Mount Roberts, see show there.
• Back to the ship.
