How much time for DHS?

Hi All!

My husband and I are going to WDW in late September/early October. We have park hoppers for five days. With that being said, I sort of want to spend as little time as possible at DHS, since it basically seems like a graveyard of a park and I want to spend most of our time at EPCOT and MK.

We're planning on going there on an evening with nighttime EMH. (The rest of the day will be at MK on a MNSSHP day, so we have to leave there before 7.) How much time I should allot for the following DHS activities:

*Toy Story Mania
*Tower of Terror (maybe twice - LOVE this ride)
* Star Tours
*Great Movie Ride
*(Maybe) Muppet Vision 3D
*Dinner somewhere

(I'm not a fan of fast/loopy coasters, so we'll be skipping Rock n Roller Coaster.)

Our FP don't open up for a month or so (staying at POP). Hoping to get them for Star Tours, Tower of Terror and TSM.

Also, any recs on things I may be overlooking at Hollywood Studios? Am I hating too much? Lol.

Are you going to have FP+ for anything? Or will you be using all your FP+'s at MK that day? Are you having a TS or CS dinner?

If you're not going to have any FP+'s and are planning a TS dinner, I'd say you need about 5.5 hours. I got that number from figuring an hour wait at TSM and TOT, 20 minutes at Star Tours, 20 minutes at GMR, 20 for the Muppets, 1 hour for dinner, and 1.5 hours for time you're actually experiencing the attractions. I'd subtract 30 minutes if you're doing a CS dinner.

Not many great places to eat there, we always do lunch at 50's prime time. There's the Brown Derby., Mama Melrose, Hollywood & Vine. With just adults you are probably right. I have girls that love doing everything no matter how small, they are 17 and 22, just for the experience. We get there early and then take our time walking around. We have one full day and one half day planned for our trip.

We're going to try and FP+ Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror and Star Tours. We're going to be spending a lot more time at MK this trip and going there first thing in the morning. So if something has too long of a line there, we'll just do it another day.

We haven't figured out our dinner plans yet. We have just two TS reservations so far (for Be Our Guest and Boma on other days). I kind of want to plan our other dining reservations later around the Fastpasses, especially at HS because nowhere excites me that much. We'll probably do Sci-Fi though, if it's available.

But 5.5 hours sounds about right! I forgot about the Beauty and the Beast show, which I think I'd enjoy. So we may try for that too!

Thanks for your help. :)

So this sounds like you will need a good 7-8 hours now with Fantasmic and the fireworks!

OOH woof. I have no desire to spend that much time there! Lol. I'm thinking your initial 5.5/6 hours recommendation is good, especially if we FP+ ToT, TSM and Star Tours. I feel like if we head there around 3 p.m. we should be OK!

Thank you for all your help. :) It's been super useful!
