How much time for character meals?

I want to book the Crystal Palace lunch for a late lunch, but be out in enough time to catch the 3pm parade. How long does the meal generally take and what time would you book for in this case?

I haven't gone to one yet, but I've read here that a character meal takes an hour to an hour and a half.

We have eaten at CP several times--it's one of our favorites. As bigbabyblues stated, it usually takes a little over an hour to eat and see all the characters. Depending on what time of year you are going, people will start lining Main Street an hour to an hour and a half before the parade starts so you may want to keep that in mind when making your PS
