how much time at WS

We have an ADR at Akershus our first night, and plan to arrive at least a couple hours early to explore a bit. And then on our actual EP day I have a couple hours set aside in our touring plan to explore before our Chefs de France dinner. Do you think that's enough time to see/do a decent amount?

I've never been. My fiance has been and it's his favorite part of WDW. And I have a 5 yo DD who may enjoy the kidcot stations. Or may not. She's unpredictable.

I spend as much time as I can at WS, I love it. When my son was younger they didn't have kidcot but still enjoyed going around the countries and talking to the cast members and just looking through the stores. For me, that would not be enough time.

I agree that would not be nearly enough time for me. And if it is your fiances' favorite part of WDW I would plan more time.
Take a look at Kenny the Pirates web site for info. There are many, many meet and greets your 5 yo would enjoy too.

Well we have a BBB appt (in downtown disney) for DD at 3:30 the day of our Akershus dinner (at 8pm). We could just head to epcot right after, which would give us a BIT more time.

I may tweak our plan for our epcot day a bit.

We also spend this amount of time in World Showcase. There is just so much to see. The various entertainment acts in the countries (jugglers in Italy, acrobats in China, drummers in Japan, Voices of Liberty in America, British Revolution in the UK), all the snacks/drinks to try in each country, exploring the shops, meeting characters throughout, seeing the films (Canada, France, America)...there is just so much to explore and do!

Since you have never been, he has been and it's a favorite, and your daughter has never been, go for it.

Suggestions - get a world map and take it with you. Have your daughter join in looking at each country and where that country is in the world. You can research each country (with your daughter) for something fun - like what the citizens call Santa Claus (China might be off limits for that one). Or just what the capitol is for each country. Or do they have states or territories or districts. Or a candy that is produced there and can you find it at Epcot?

Its too bad that your time will be so limited. Even this is not going to allow you more than a superficial pass through the pavilions. We are usually hard pressed to see everything with 2 full days. Perhaps ask your fiancé which are his favourite parts of WS so you can at least try to hit them.

Yeah, I don't think we'll be able to pack in anymore than that. But that's a good idea on asking about the favorite parts. At least we can try to hit a few highlights, and there's always next year.

I think with a 5 year old that is great amount of time. They sell passport books and my daughter 8 at the time bought hers with her own money and when we walked around the countries looking for cms to sign it and write something about their country. We still laugh about racing from America to Norway to get the last autograph before closing. Drums in the small space that is an African outpost I guess, pick a pearl in Japan, poke your head in the German biergarten close to showtime. Phineas and Ferb WS adventure with your help. Many things to do. You won't be sorry you went.
