I just made our June (6/17-6/25) reservations for BWV (I just LOVE how close it is to MGM and Epcot!!). 3 of our nights were not available for a standard view studio, so I reserved a preferred view studio for those nights. I am wait listed for a standard view those nights. How much luck has anyone had with being wait listed? I could handle moving if we had to, but we may have my 4 YO niece with us.

Last June I had an OKW 1-B/R reserved for this September (2001) for two separate weeks (we stayed at Ft. Wilderness for the weekends) and wait-listed a 1-B/R BWV standard room. We got both weeks at BWV. Truthfully I didn't expect to get either.

Unfortunately the one week included the 11th. We lost some of the magic that week, but even then I knew it would return.

hi: it depends on how busy it is at wdw to some extent. the waitlist has come through for us a little better than half the time. the times it didn't come through for us were on the "crowded" side at wdw and it was a bit of short notice on the waitlist. it didn't come through completely for us this past trip because: every available 2br or studio was booked at bwv, and that portion of the waitlist was only requested by us at about 5 months out. did it ruin any of our trips because the waitlist didn't come through? no chance-we were at wdw and that beats the heck out of being at work or school for us. cross your fingers and think of pixie dust!

I had a week at BWV in a standard view studio on the waitlist - with a preferred view reserved just in case. Our waitlist came through but it was during the week of Sept. 11th so it was due to extreme circumstances. I would think that many folks hang on to reservations up until the 30 day cancellation cut-off so some may open up right about then. Good luck!

I have tried the wait list for BWV at the 7 month window for a standard view studio in early December twice. It has not come through either time, but I requested to be contacted only if all nights came available. I'm sure this reduced my chances significantly. Had I requested a preferred view and notification as nights became available, my chances would have been better, but I didn't want to risk splitting my reservation in the middle or tying up extra points on a dual reservation. Good luck!!

We made our ressies for this December 8-15 under the 7 month window (due to a vacatio we were on at the time). We ended up with some days at BWV standard, some preffered, and some at OKW (our home resort....initial ressies made there at the 11 month window). We waitlisted for BWV standard, and told them we'd take them day by day. Slowly but surely, over several months, every day came through for us. We were sweating it a bit for a while though, as it looked like we would have to change resorts and/or rooms 3 times during our stay.

Leaving for the Magic in a couple days, then our trip home :-) Can't wait!

Hi,
I made a reservations for 6/1 to 6/8 at BWV-standard view on 11/8/01 and we got all but one night. I waitlisted for that one night and it came through BEFORE we got the confirmation in the mail about the reservation. I was impressed. So, we'll be in a standard view all week. I'm psyched.
