How much roast beef would you buy for 13 adults

This will be hot roast beef on kummelweck rolls with aus jus gravy and horseradish. We aren't having cold lunch meat sandwiches.

There are no toppings on these sandwiches. The kummelweck rolls are very large.

We will be serving sides. Probably a chef salad & either mac & cheese or baked ziti.

mmmmmm my favorite I really miss them since leaving Buffalo! I think 1/3-1/2 lb per person is good for these. If it had been cold sandwiches I would have said closer to 1/4 to 1/3.

I would figure 1/3 lb a person for the type of sandwich you are describing. That would be 4 1/3 lbs, so get 5 lbs and you should be fine.

I would get 5 lbs. That would be PLENTY for 13 adults.

Don't mean to criticise your menu but Beef on Weck sandwiches always seem to go good with a cold macaroni or potato salad.

If it were summer I would probably have a cold salad, I just thought something hotter because of the season.
