How much paid time off do you have?

I have been with my company 9 years this past Jan and at 5 years I got 20 days vacation time (or 160 hours) and 6 sick days (and it has to be you that is sick) then entire company gets 6 (I think) holidays. Next year I will get 25 days vacation time (yeah more time for Disney!!! LOL) After 5 years you are able to bank I think 5 days but I am not sure of the policy because I ALWAYS use every single one of my days.

I get 4 weeks per year vacation leave at this point, and 2 weeks per year sick leave. I can bank 10 months of vacation time before I have to use it, and unlimited sick time. I have hardly anything banked because I use it yearly. ;)

I get 120 hours a year to be used as vacation and/or sick leave. But we are only allowed to carryover 80 hours each year. I would love to be able to carry more over.

Right now I have 21 days per year for vacation. If I were to stay another couple of years it would be 26 days. We don't have any sick days so you can take as many as you want until your supervisor decides you've abused the privilege. No vacation time can be carried over: use it or lose it.

The paid days I get are 16 days vacation, 10 paid holiday and 11 sick days. The sick days are unlimited but vacation stops increasing after you have I think a month and a half saved up.

We just got paid today so I checked my stub right now I have 2 1/2 days vacation and 15 sick days saved up. I use my vacation up ever year but rarely call in sick.

I have 23 PTO days and 5 CME days per year. My problem is like that of others who have posted--only so many doctors can be off at one time. Actually, the certain of the others resent when somebody takes any time off, particularly one couple, who, since they are married, always take time off together. (So, obviously, it is OK for two doctors to be off at one time, and in fact, this couple and one other doctor were off at one time, leaving four, now three of us to cover). I guess their problem is that I want to be off when my son is out of school, like spring break and the first week of summer, and this is my consistent request. To their way of thinking, I suppose, there is "inverse seniority", since I have been in the practice the longest. So, obviously, I should defer my requests to their wishes, since they are the most junior partners.

I have 240 each year and we can't roll any of it over. I also have 3 weeks in July (which are all of our holidays and are paid) I work a 2/2/3 schedule which means that I work every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday and have days off during the week, if it just so happens that a holiday other than the biggies (Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter) lands on your work day...you work it. But considering I actually only work 1/2 year it's not so bad....plus I could use a vacation day if I really wanted one of them off. We have 4 days at Easter, 4 days at Thanksgivng and about 12 days at Christmas. I do work 12 hour days though, but believe me all the off time is well worth it!The way our schedule is I could use 24 hours of vacation time and have 7 days off  Oh and I know my work schedule up to 2 years in advance!

Right now, I have about 150 sick time and 100 vacation time. I also have about 50 hours comp time that I need to take off.

We can bank our sick and vacation time. We get 13 days vacation and 13 days sick per year. We also get 11 paid holidays per year.

DH gets 5 weeks plus 10 holidays.

Me...I never get paid anyway!! :rotfl:

I currently have over 40 days available for this calendar year. This is due to the amount of time I have accrued over the last several years. The unfortunate part is that even if I do take a vacation I am expected to carry my cell phone and check my emails at least once per day.

I get four weeks of vacation, four personal, and accumulative sick time. Our vacation can be carried over, so this year I have six weeks of vacation. Sick time I am not sure, but enough, and I usually save my personal time for Christmas time. My job is so cool :thumbsup2

Wow, I'm shocked at all of your vacation time!

We get 13 paid holidays (including being shut down the week between Christmas & New Year)

I currently accrue 80 hours vacation a year since I haven't been there very long. On the day after my 4th anniversary I will start accruing 120 hours a year. There is a limit to what you can carry over (I believe it's half your annual accrual) and anything over the limit is paid out at year end. So some people will get there pay check, bonus check, and vacation check right before Christmas!

We don't get sick time at all. But if you are sick you just call in and get it paid. I personally would rather we just went to a PTO policy where sick days are the same as vacation. I rarely am really sick, and when I am sick it's usually at a time where I *have* to come in.

I have 265 days of PTO available to me and I accrue at the rate of 9.85 hours per pay period (80 hours) which works out to 256 per year. We can earn up to 381 hours of PTO. After that, you don't accrue any more time. I usually take 1 week for WDW and 1 other week during the year and a day off here and there including holidays. We use to earn vacation time and had holidays but when they changed, our holidays came out of our PTO. As I'm salaried I don't get sick pay but then don't lose pay if I call in sick.

5 weeks vacation, 6 personal days and 12 sicks days (which you bank year to year and they will buy back when you retire if you have any left over)

This is a new job ( as of 3 months ago) so I have only about 40 hours banked. I get 4 1/2 weeks off per year (sick or vacation--all comes out of the same pot) plus 10 holidays.

My last job had a separate pot of hours for vacation leave vs. sick leave. I had tons of sick leave accumulated when I left (only got paid for 1/4 of it) but only 2 weeks of vacation time banked because I take my vacations, a day here and a day there--usually one long weekend per month.

I have 25 days vacation. 3 floating holidays. 8 holidays. 24 weeks full pay sick time and 13 weeks half pay sick time. Sick time is renewed every Jan 1.

You can't carry over vacation or sick time. The sick time is to be used when you are sick, not as extra vacation days.

I have about 220 hours. I get 11 hours every 2 weeks (will go up to 14 hours in November, my 15th anniversary with the company). We can bank up to 460 hours, then you stop accruing time off. I don't have to worry about that because I take about 3-4 weeks off each year.

I earn 7.55 hours of PTO every two weeks and that goes up by another hour in a few more years (for me). I have 180 hours of vacation time "banked" currently. Our holidays come out of that (:() and my time rolls over from year to year until/or if I meet the maximum amount of time I can bank. I have over 400 hours EID, Extended Illness Days. I work at a hospital and am not automatically off on holidays (except Christmas) so that works out okay.
