How much paid time off do you have banked and avaliable for you to use right now, if you could? Some of my co-workers were talking today and they have 400 and 500 hours banked! I'm lucky if I have 100 hours banked as I take a few days off every couple months or so.

For our 9 day Disney trip coming up next month, I've put in extra hours on the weekends to bulk up my vacation time, because I certainly woudln't have had enough time in my PTO account.

I work in a small office and we get off (paid) whenever we need. If your child is sick, you stay home. If you are sick, you stay home. If there is a special vacation you are planning....just let them know 3 months in advance. :)

We have never had anyone abuse this...so...it is working well. :thumbsup2

ETA: We also get off whenever the Doctor gets off....so we have plenty of vacations. ;) :woohoo:

we can't bank our time off where I work. You start the year with 15 vacation days, 5 call in (don't have to be sick) and that number goes up every 5 yrs you are there.

We get a fresh round of time every calendar year, which means we loose any unused time.

We can roll over as much as we want. We currently get 4 weeks of vacation time (plus the week between Christmas and New Years) as well as 8 (I think) other paid days off during the year. We don't have a specific sick policy. If you are sick, then you take off.

I currently have about 160 hours banked and accruing more every month. I don't see me being able to take any time off until at least May :sad2:

I don't know exactly without looking, but I have somewhere around 125 hours banked. (My vacation/personal/comp time runs from Oct 1st - Sept. 30). October 1st I get 80 vacation hours and 80 personal hours, personal hours can not be carried over, so whatever personal hours I do not use by Sept. 30 I lose {but I won't let that happen}. Vacation and comp. time are the only things to carry over.

120 vacation and 120 personal hours per week, because I am new to the company. In two years, it will go up by 40 hours in each category. The only problem is it is difficult to schedule vacation time in a small staff setting!

I hope you mean each YEAR rather than week! If it is every week - are they hiring :lmao: ;)

WOW i want your job!! 240 a WEEK!!!

I got 36 + 6 Hol. days last year as I had to defer a week due to an injury the year before.
I took off every Mon from June 1st until the 2nd week in Sept.Boy was that great.

This year I get 25 Vac days 6 floating Hol 6 reg Holidays and as our Comp founder would have been 100 years old last week they gave us another day to schedule off.

We have 10 people in our group that sit down every Jan and go over Vac (no more then 2 off at any given time). This makes my NEW DVC difficult but I try not to take my trips during busy times of the year .I'm also 3rd on senority list so that helps with the picking as well.

We have no real limited sick time but excessiveness does get you written up and no raise for the year.I was out from July until Dec in 04 (broke the top of the ball on shoulder) but because it was Dis.it was not held against me.

I get 27 days/year and I carried over 16 from last year. I usually carry over one or two less days than the year before....I just can't use it all! I could definitely have worse problems in life.

I have 5 carry over days from last year
4 weeks vacation
5 personal days
5 sick days
1 floating holiday

DH has a ridiculous number of hours, I think over 800, between vacation and sick time. His employer used to allow the hours to be banked annually, and when they changed that policy (now it's use it or lose it), they grandfathered in the existing employees banked hours.

I say ridiculous because he never uses his entire annual vacation allotment, even now that they don't roll over, and he's rarely sick. But it's nice to know it's there if he were to have an extended illness.

i get 365 paid days off per year.

but thats cuz i'm retired :thumbsup2

My company doesn't give bankable hours. We get a set number of vacation days based on length of service and everyone also gets the same number of personal days. It's at the descretion of management to allow someone to carryover time - corporate policy is use it or lose it. I really don't know about sick time since I've never been out for more than a few days a year. I think after 2 weeks sick we're required to go on short term disability.

All that being said I get 4 weeks paid vacation and 5 personal days.

My husband gets 2 weeks paid vacation. Him taking all of it would be a :rotfl2: Calling in sick? What the heck is that? :confused3 Personal time? Riiiiiiiiiight. 40 hour work week? Might as well work part time according to him. :lmao:

Being A state employee... Sick days can roll each year. Vac caps out at 250 hrs and then you use it or lose it. We get 8hr of each per month and 3 personal leave days plus 6 or 8 holidays.

We cannot bank any time at my company it is use or lose so all of us normally take all our sick days.... :sunny:

Time increases with longevity at the company for vacation time, personal days and sick days stay the same, as do holidays.

15 vacation days
3 personal days
10 sick days
9 paid holidays

No complaints we have a good amount of time off... :sunny:

Our is changing. We currently have unlimited sick leave, but starting in April we're changing to "Paid Time Off" with vacation, sick leave, and personal days all in the same pool. I moved up to 4 weeks of vacation time after 15 years, but now you get the max (26 days total) at 10 years.

Same exact thing, and 10 holidays also.

0 (zero) Self employed. No work, no pay. But I do manage to get about 3 weeks total off here and there.
