Sorry I don't have one I could be completely wrong but when I started planning a month ago I think it was in the thread Disney and fop sucks not the op but another poster stated that fop was going down to be refurbish

I don't know about that.
Why just this morning I was talking with Elvis about his upcoming trip to WDW.
He said he was all shook up after hearing that FOP was closing.
And I said don't be cruel, that only a devil in disguise would post that kind of info.
Why, only the most suspicious minds would believe that report.
He sneered, swiveled in his blue suede shoes and said, a fool such as I can get tricked into anything!

And I was told by Jim Morrison that he and his LA Woman were in the park recently and it was raining. They were Riders On The Storm, but stayed in the park until The End... When The Music's Over. Those were Strange Days, and they came upon a young guest who was all by herself. They told her that You're Lost Little Girl. She said that her name was Maggie M'Gill and that Jim should Tell All The People That You See that the odds of FOP being closed for refurbishment were Five To One.

Well Tupac told me on his annual June trip this year he had Ambitionz as a Ridah on FOP. He heard there may be some Changes coming to the ride, but he still planned to ride Until the End of Time. On his way into AK he saw 2 of Amerikas Most Wanted and hoped they had not done anything to Avatarland. As he approached FOP he noticed a CM blocking the line who said "Holler if Ya Hear Me but FOP is closed". Tupac said "I Ain't Mad at Cha I'll Hit Em Up some other time". The CM said "Keep Ya Head Up because Life Goes On, by the way you look kind of familiar". Tupac replied "I Get Around" and headed over to his favorite Primeval Whirl.

There is no refurb currently shown on the schedule for FoP. How much notice is given varies greatly depending on the situation and the attraction. Notices can range from days, if it's a break down, to many months if it's regularly schedule maintenance/refurb.

If you are thinking a scheduled refurb or maint. they will put notices on the site as soon as they know and will most likely cancel any FPs you have and send you an email. If it's just broke for the moment, hour, half day, you will get no notice until you get there.

Where can you find the list of refurbs?

Some things, like the waterparks, have annual scheduled maintenance, so that schedule gets put up way in advance.

Other things, like Chef Mickey's, was called for maintenance with only a month warning. CM was called a few days ago, and will start at the end of this month.

So, really, calling for maintenance depends on how critical it is. An emergency might get called immediately, and have no expected end date, and will catch everyone by surprise. A "meh, we gotta get this done, sometime" refurbishment, might have a 6 month start date and last a couple weeks.

If FOP was really going to need some fixing, now, they'd shut it down, now, and get it fixed before the problem got bigger.

Just out of curiosity as ya'll are full of knowledge, if Disney decided to change some of the seats for FOP to accomodate larger guests (I know a few people have been turned away and wondering if some seats may be upgraded in the future), does the ride itself have more than 1 room that the seats are in as I'm sure I read somewhere that there are 4 or so rooms?

If some seats were to be modified, would the whole ride be shut down or just a room/section at a time?

Please don't assume that I know anything you don't in regards to new seats, it's just a question for maybe the future
